Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is also termed as Biological therapy, which is a medical process that helps in the alteration of the immune system to address diseases. These healing methods can enhance the immune system to recover its response to disease or prevent it to avoid overactivity that could lead to injury. It is currently under wide spread examination for its possible applications in battling with the various forms of cancer and autoimmune disorders.

Immunotherapy is classified into two forms that is activation immunotherapy and suppression Immunotherapy. The strategy aim of the activation immunotherapy is to battle with the infections, cancers and other various illnesses more efficiently. The purpose of the suppression immunotherapy is to weakens or to prevent immune reactions to avoid the excessive response, which may lead to cause damage in conditions like autoimmune disease and organ transplant rejection.

Immunotherapies that cause the suppression of the immune systems are used to manage excessive immune actions. In some medical conditions, the immune system incorrectly targets the healthy tissues, which results in the inflammation and also cause damage to the tissues. Suppression immunotherapy helps in controlling these conditions by reducing immune response. Suppressive treatment supports in avoiding an over active immune response and minimizing inflammation.

Some allergic reactions cause due to the exaggerated immune response to harmless elements. Suppression immunotherapy can help to control this reaction and also avoid severe allergic responses.

Disorders such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis feature persistent inflammation resulting from immune system breakdown. Suppressive treatment supports in lowering inflammation and handling symptoms.

Current studies are investigating innovative methods to use the immunotherapy for addressing various disease. Although activation immunotherapy remains vital for addressing autoimmune and inflammatory disease. Due to advancement in biotechnology, immunotherapy is anticipated to develop into a more effective and tailored treatment method for various health issues
